ABOUT THE BOOK

While Needles Out is Nichole’s third embroidery book, it is the first in the series to feature mixed-media techniques. With more than 100 illustrations and 50 photographs, Needles Out reestablishes methods discussed in the previous books and lays a foundation for four new ones: beading/embellishing, stumpwork, fabric painting, and needle felting. Each technique has three projects, so readers can continue to deepen their embroidery skills.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Nichole Vogelsinger is a self-taught fiber artist, stitcher and writer and teacher who has a weakness for lots of color and anything floral. Her creative journey began when, as a child, she would explore the local fabric shops with her mother. She developed a love for fiber arts and as an adult, hand embroidering printed fabrics became a favorite hobby. That hobby soon became an Instagram feed (@wildboho) and then turned into several books. She teaches Boho-embroidery workshops and shares her adventures in the world of stitchery at www.wildboho.com.
