The Weavers of Char-Lee present “Weaving Water” a month-long exhibit exploring the human interface with the-liquid-without-which-we-cannot-live, January 5-27, 2018 in the upstairs Capital Gallery of the Sidney and Berne Davis Center, 2301 First Street, Fort Myers. Primarily a collection of weavings, the works also comprise spinning, art quits, collage and Fiber Art pieces created by Char-Lee guild members.
In addition, members will celebrate Roc Day from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. January 5 with free public weaving and spinning demonstrations on the portico of the Sidney and Berne Davis Center. Roc Day in ancient times marked the end of the holiday season and the return to the mundane duties of everyday life. Special Exhibit on spinning & weaving fibers from shells.
Four workshops will also be presented on Wednesdays by members during January. Classes are in the Sidney and Berne Davis upstairs Capital Gallery. Early registration is encouraged. Register SBDAC 239 333 1933.
